PM seeks pvt sector help for health edn

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday urged the private sector entrepreneurs to come forward with
service-oriented mentality to supplement the government efforts for further development of the country’s health and health education sectors.
“The private sector has to work with a service-oriented mentality, not only with a business attitude,” she said while presiding over a meeting of National Health Council at her office.
The Prime Minister also said her government will increase facilities for the physicians working in the country’s remote areas.
PM’s special assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil briefed reporters after the meeting about its outcome.
Appreciating the private sector’s positive role in flourishing the health and health education sector in the country, Sheikh Hasina stressed improving the quality of health education.
Mentioning that the government has taken the health services to the door steps of people, she emphasised giving more importance to the healthcare of women and children.
