Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday expressed deep shock at the death of Syeda Rabeya Khatun, mother of Syed Sajidur Rahman Faruk, General Secretary of the UK chapter of Awami League. In a condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family. Rabeya Khatun died of old-age complications at a Sylhet hospital on Sunday night at the age of 110.
She left behind three sons, three daughters and grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
