Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of eminent space scientist and weather forecast expert Dr AM Choudhury.
In a message of condolence, she prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Chowdhury, also former Chairman of the Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO), died of old-age complications at his Dhanmondi residence in the city on Thursday at the age of 81.
