Prime Minister and Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina on Monday expressed deep shock at the death of Shantilata Roy, mother of Dr Dilip Roy, Joint Secretary of Dhaka South City AL.
In a condolence message, the premier prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Shantilata Roy died at her village home in Boalmari upazila in Faridpur district on Sunday at the age 108.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also condoled the death of Shantilata Roy.
