Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of former dean of Chattogram University’s Social Sciences Faculty and valiant freedom fighter Prof Gazi Saleh Uddin.
Hasina, also the President of Awami League, prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy for the bereaved family members.
Dr Gazi Saleh Uddin breathed his last at 8pm on Friday at a hospital in the capital city at the age of 73.
He is survived by his son, daughter and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers.
Awami League General Secretary and Highways and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also expressed grief at the death of Prof Gazi Saleh Uddin.
