Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday expressed profound shock at the death of President Abdul Hamid’s elder sister Sigira Khatun (Purushkar Nesa).
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Sigira Khatun died of old-age complication at her Kishoreganj residence on Friday noon at the age of 82.
She left behind one son, seven daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
