Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock at the death of Independence Award recipient Geeti Kobi (lyricist) Nayeem Gauhar.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister recalled his invaluable contribution towards the great War of Independence. “The patriotic songs written by Nayeem Gauhar provided much courage for the freedom-loving people during the War of Liberation,” she said, adding that the grateful nation would remember this contribution forever.
