Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday expressed profound shock at the death of Jahanara Begum, mother of Awami League’s law secretary and former law minister Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru, MP, said a press release.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of Jahanara and also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In a separate message, AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader, MP, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, condoled the death of Khasru’s mother seeking eternal peace for her departed soul.
Jahanara died of old-age complication early on Sunday at her Comilla town residence at the age of 95, the release added.
