Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Bazlul Karim Selim. In a condolence message on Thursday, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family, said a party press release.
Selim, an uncle of Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Abdus Subhan Golap, passed away at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here on Wednesday at 11.25 pm at the age of 55.
He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter.
