Prime Minister and Awami league Sheikh Hasina on Monday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former vice-president of Lalmonirhat district Awami League and chairman of Jongra union parishad Ashraf Ali.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Ashraf Ali breathed his last on Sunday evening at a hospital in Rangpur city at the age of 80.
He left behind five sons, three daughters and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers.
Meanwhile, Road Transport and Bridges Minister and AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ashraf Ali.
