Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday expressed deep shock at the death of popular film actress Parvin Sultana Diti.
In a condolence message, the Premier recalled the contribution of Diti to Bangladesh’s film arena. Her death is an irreparable loss to the country’s film industry, the PM added.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family. A popular actress of the 90s, Diti passed away at the United Hospital here yesterday afternoon after a long battle with brain cancer.
