Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Advocate Golam Hasnain, one of the members of the Constitution formulation committee, and former member of Gano Parishad.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Ekushey Padak winning Golam Hasnain was one of the organisers of the Liberation War and a former president of Pabna district Awami League.
Golam Hasnain breathed his last at about 5am on Saturday at his own home. He was 92. He is survived his two sons and two daughters.
Meanwhile, Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Advocate Golam Hasnain.
