Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Mymensingh’s Gafargaon pourashava unit Awami League president Abdul Halim Manik.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Abdul Halim Manik breathed his last Wednesday afternoon at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He was 74.
He left behind two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
Meanwhile, Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Abdul Halim Manik.
