Bangladesh Mohila Awami League arranged a Milad and Doa Mahfil in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the capital after Asr prayers on Saturday marking the 40th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the Milad and Doa Mahfil.
Bangabandhu’s younger daughter Sheikh Rehana, PM’s daughter Saima Hossain Putul as well as other family members and relatives joined the Milad and Doa Mahfil.
Besides, Awami League Presidium members Begum Matia Chowdhury and Advocate Sahara Khatun, leaders and workers of Mohila Awami League and Jubo Mohila League were present.
A special munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu, Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage.
Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of the August 21 grenade attack victims.
