PM hosts Iftar party for pol leaders

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday hosted an iftar party for the leaders of different political parties at her official Ganobhaban residence.
The Prime Minister went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their wellbeing. Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.
Prayers were also offered seeking the eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other victims of August-15 massacre, martyrs of Liberation War and heroes of the democratic movements.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, PM’s Special Envoy and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, CPB President Mujahidul Islam Selim and former BNP minister Barrister Nazmul Huda were present at the dais.
Other ministers, parliament members, senior leaders of Bangladesh Awami League, Jatiya Party, Jatiya Party (Manju), Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Workers Party, CPB, NAP, Samyabadi Dal, Ganotontri Party, Gano Azadi League, Islami Oikya Jote and leaders of AL’s associate bodies, including Jubo League, Jubo Mohila League, Chhatra League, Krishak League, Mohila Awami League, Sechhasebak League, Jatiya Sramik League, Mohila Sramik League, Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad, Awami Ainjibi Parishad also attended the iftar.
