Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has congratulated newly appointed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
“It’s my great pleasure to heartily congratulate you on behalf of the people and
the government of Bangladesh and also on my own behalf, on your appointment as the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” she wrote in a message to Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
She said, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia have been enjoying excellent bilateral relations which is time tested ones, and Bangladesh attaches great importance to its fraternal bonds with the Kingdom, according to Foreign Ministry.
“I firmly believe the existing excellent relations that so happily exist between our two brotherly countries would be further strengthened and consolidated under your able leadership, wisdom and sagacity,” she added.
The Prime Minister said the people of Bangladesh pray to Almighty Allah to grant him good health, happiness and long life. “We also wish you all the best in your new responsibility. May Allah grant the brotherly people of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continued peace, progress and prosperity.”
In a separate message to Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Prime minister said, “Your appointment as the Deputy Crown Prince is a testimony to the trust and confidence that the people of Saudi Arabia and His Majesty the King repose in your leadership.”
She said Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia enjoy close brotherly relations based on shared culture, tradition, faith and fraternity. “I’m confident the historical bonds of friendship will be further consolidated in the coming years under your able leadership.”
Hasina wished him good health, long life and happiness, and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia continued peace, progress and prosperity.
