Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday gave financial assistance of Taka 35 lakh to renowned film actor Ahmad Sharif.
The prime minister donated the money for the treatment of ailing Ahmad Sharif and his wife.
Ahmad Sharif, former President of Chalachchitra Shilpi Samity, received the cheque for the amount from the premier at her office here this afternoon.
The film actor, on her own behalf and the family, expressed gratitude to the prime minister for the donation.
