Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday donated 15 sick and unsound journalists from PM Journalist Grant Fund in Chittagong.
Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mezbahuddin handed over the grant cheque to 15 sick and unsound journalists on behalf of the Prime Minister in a simple ceremony held at Chittagong Press Club (CPC) here this morning.
The journalists who received PM Journalist Grant Fund cheque are M Nasirul Hoque and Aparna Kastogir, The Daily Suprobath, Ranjit Kumar Dey, Provat Barua, Rocksanul Islam and E Parvaj Faruki, of The Daily Purbokone, Hasan Faruki and Basir Ahmed of The Daily Azadi, Sazzad Hossain, of BTV, Mohammad Ali Pasha, The Daily Karnaphuli, Saidul Azad of The daily Chattagram Moncha, Muktijuddah Journalist Nur Mohammad Rafique, and Journalist Santu Kumar Das and the family of late Journalist Abdul Aziz.
President of Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) Ezaz Yousufi, presided over the function while Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mezbah Uddin, Chittagong Press Club President Kalim Sarwar, Joint Secretary of BFUJ Ashif Seraj, General Secretary (GS) of CPC Mohsin Chowdhury, CUJ Secretary Hashan Fedouse, former CUJ President Shahidul Alam, among others, addressed the function.
