Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday strongly condemned the terror attack carried out in Barcelona and other Spanish cities that claimed 13 innocent lives and wounded scores.
Sheikh Hasina expressed the deepest condolences at
the loss of lives in the terror attack.
In a message to the Spanish President, Sheikh Hasina said, “I’m deeply shocked and grieved at the terror attack in Barcelona and other Spanish cities that claimed 13 innocent lives and wounded scores.”
She said, “I along with the people and the government of Bangladesh strongly condemn such mindless act of cowardice and stand in solidarity with the people and the government of Spain.”
Mentioning that terrorists are terrorists irrespective of their colour, creed or religion, the Prime Minister said they must have no place in any civilised society. We’re together in the global fight against terrorism and violent extremism.” She also expressed her deepest condolences and sympathies to the Spanish President and the people of Spain. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families, who have lost their loved ones, at this difficult hour.”
