Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation today marking the completion of two years of her government. “The Premier is scheduled to deliver her address today evening,” her press secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS.
The address will be broadcast simultaneously over Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar as well as private TV channels and radio stations. In her address, Sheikh Hasina is expected to spell out her government’s tremendous successes and achievements in different fields. On this day in 2014, the Awami League government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took office for the second consecutive term with an overwhelming victory in the last general elections held on January 5, 2014.
