The plying of pedal run rickshaws at Barik Building Crossing on Agrabad Road to Dewanhat Corner has been prohibited by the Traffic Department of Chattogram Metropolitan Police from yesterday aimed at easing congestions upto airport.
Deputy Police Commissioner (Port) Md. Tarek Ahmed confirmed the suspension of rickshaw movement in that road. He also told that the commercial hub of the port city, roads towards KEPZ, CEPZ covers this portion of the airport road and hence to ease the vehicle movement, rickshaw movement has been banned.
