Sheikh Runa is at a
time a play director
and actress. Hailed from Khulna, though Runa is showing her keen interest to give direction of dramas but now she wants to engage herself with acting in TV dramas. Runa was seriously injured in a road accident on September 8, 2017. Then she changed herself. From that time she started to work for the people from the humanitarian ground. By this process, after increasing coronavirus, she started to work as a front-liner for the corona infected patients. Among women directors, Sheikh Runa is a much-talked and appreciated name. After getting recovery from that accident, she made a drama titled Bhalobasar Epar Opar.
Today is birthday of Sheikh Runa. She said, “With Allah’s blessings and prays and loves from all, I had come back to normal life. Then I changed myself. I want to dedicate my life for the welfare of the people. Besides giving direction, I also want to do acting. On my birthday, I will pass the day by own way.” Recently Runa won in the elections of Television Programme Producers’ Association
of Bangladesh for the post of its EC member.
