Zamiruddin Parvez has been awarded with National Award for undergoing successful tree plantation program in the poura areas for third consequetive year. . Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally handed over the national prestigious award to Zamiruddin Parvez at Gonabhaban in last month .It was the third consequetive period of awarding National Award for tree plantation to Zamiruddin Parvez . .Among others, Minister for Forest & Environment Md Shababuddin MP, Deputy Minister for Forest Habibun Nahar MP, , chairman of parliamentary standing committee on Forest & Environment Saber Hossain Chowdhury MP, Secretary of Climate change Ministry Abdullah al Mohsin Chowdhury, Chief conservator of Forest Shafiul Alam Chowdhury, and Director General of Deptt of Environment AKM Rafoqie Ahmed were present during handing over award .. Md. Zamiruddin hails from respectable muslim family of Raozan and is the second son of Nurul Hoque Chowdhury of East Raozan ward of Pourashava . Mentionable that Zamiruddin has been elected poura Councilor for the last four consequetive terms of the pourashava . Md. Zamiruddin is also President of Jubo League , Raozan upazila . Zamiruddin also developed a Tourist complex including Mini Zoo at East Raozan and sought govt patronization for development tourism industry at hillside of Raozan union adjoining Rangamati hill district areas. Foreign and home tourists regularly visit the complex named Giri Chaya Complex while moving to and from Rangamati . Sources said this complex will be developed into a Eco-Park very shortly aimed at earning huge forex in future. While contacted Zamiruddin Parvez told our senior journalist that if the govt extends financial and technical supports to this Giri Chaya complex, this complex will be turned into a deluxe rest house and multi cuisine food house . He further said there will be a eye catching multistoried building for a 3=star accommodation unit very shortly .
