Shahreen Ahmed, 30, one of the 10 Bangladeshi survivors of the US-Bangla plane crash, returned home on Thursday afternoon.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying Shahreen landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 3:40pm, Tasmin Akhter, Manager (Public Relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, told The New Nation.
Shahreen was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) directly from the airport.
She suffered burn injury in her leg at the time of crash landing of the US-Bangla plane in the Tribhuvan International Airport of Nepal on March 12, leaving 51 people dead, including 28 Bangladeshi nationals.
Shahreen is the daughter of Mostak Ahmed and Ferdous Mostak of Baridhara DOHS in the city.
Another survivor of the plane crash has been taken to Singapore for better treatment.
Md Rezwanul Haque, Assistant Registrar of Rangpur Medical College Hospital, was flown to Singapore last night.
His wife on board died in the crash.
Three other injured Bangladeshi passengers will be brought to Bangladesh from Kathmandu soon.
Mehedi Hasan, Saiyada Kamrunnahar Shwarna and Almun Nahar Annie will be brought to Bangladesh by their relatives, according to External Publicity Wing of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Besides, two other injured-Eakub Ali and Emrana Kabir Hashi will be taken to India soon, it said.
No Objection Certificates (NOCs) have already been issued for them in this regard.
