The Dhaka North City Corporation and Dhaka South City Corporation Pioneer (Under-16) Football League was inaugurated at the Outer Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Anisul Huq inaugurated the 26th version of the country’s biggest soccer meet, following a grand rally to be participated by footballers, organizers and football fans.
Bashundhara Kings beat Bangladesh Football Supporters Forum by 2-0 goals in an exhibition match, arranged on the occasion.
A total 60 teams, split into ten groups, will initially compete in five venues-Outer Stadium, Bijoy Saroni, Dhupkhola, Bashaboo and Lalbagh grounds.
All the 60 participating teams will receive appearance money of more then TK 10,000.
Besides, the champions team will get Tk one lakh while runners-up team receive Tk 50,000 as prize money.
