Pioneer Football League begins today

Dhaka North City Corporation and Dhaka South City Corporation Pioneer Football League begins today (Wednesday) at the Paltan Maidan.
Dhaka Pioneer Football League Committee will arrange the football competition while Bangladesh Football Federation will supervise the football meet for under-16 footballers.
To mark the forthcoming football competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Tuesday.
Deputy Chairman of Pioneer Football League Committee Bijon Barua, Social Welfare and Cultural Officer of Dhaka South City Corporation Md Motaleb, Member of BFF and Member of Pioneer Football League Committee Md Iqbal Hossain, Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag were present at the conference.
A total of 65 teams will participate in the football competition.
Arambagh Football Academy will face Tangail Football Academy in the inaugural match, which kicks-off at 3.30 pm.
Minister for Finance Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will formally open the football meet as the chief guest. President of BFF Kazi Md Salahuddin will preside over the inaugural ceremony. After the cultural function, Pioneer Football League Committee will accord a reception to Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy.
The football competition will be held at the six different venues of the city. They are: Dhupkhola East End Club Ground, BG Press Ground, Paltan Maidan, Bijoy Smarani Ground, Rahmatganj MFS Club Ground and Mohammadpur Ground.
Today Bangladesh Football Federation will bring out a colourful rally from the BFF House at 2.30 pm and the rally will come to an end at the Paltan Maidan.
