The government has appointed Kamrun Nahar, Principal Information Officer (PIO), the Secretary of the Women and Children Affairs Ministry, said an official handout here on Tuesday.
Kamrun Nahar, a 1984 batch official of BCS information cadre, earlier was the chief of the Press Information Department (PID).
She had served at different important posts including the Director General (DG) of the Department of Mass Communication, Department of Film and Publications (DFP), Bangladesh Film Achieve and Vice-Chairman of Bangladesh Film Censor Board, the release added.
