A court in chittagong in a verdict on Tuesday convicted three persons including two drivers of Chittagong City Corporation with one year jail term for alleged pilferage of vehicle fuel .The convicted CCC drivers are – Shah Alam and Abdur Razzak .
The owner of Darbar Enterprise Jalal Ahmed also convicted with same term of jail for alleged purchasing of stolen fuel . But the convict Jalal Ahmed now absconding, court sources said. Divisional Special Judge of Chittagong Mir Ruhul Amin announced this verdict on Tuesday .
Court sources said, these driver were caught red handed on February 25, 2007 while selling the fuel to Darbar Enterprise from corporation’s truck. On charge of selling stolen fuel of about Tk.17 thousand , a case was filed before the Pahartali thana accordingly and police submitted charge sheet on December 21, 2014, sources said.
