Quamrun Nahar Ruma, an assistant professor of the Press Institute Bangladesh(PIB) and a former sports journalist, died of Covid-19 in Dhaka on Monday morning .She was 39.
She breathed her last at a private hospital at 6:30 am, said a source close to her family.
” She had been on life support for the last five days,” the source added.
Before joining PIB, Ruma worked for The Bangladesh Observer and The Daily Observer as a sports journalist.
Ruma is the wife of Mashiur Rahman, sports editor at The Daily Observer.
