State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Moshiur Rahman Ranga has said that no citizen of the country would die without treatment.
“The present government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has taken massive programmes and allocated adequate funds for improving the health sector to ensure and medicare service for every citizen of the land,” he said.
The State Minister said this on Wednesday while addressing a views-sharing meeting with the officials and employees of Gangachara Upazila Health Complex (GUHC) at Gangachara upazila town as the chief guest.
Gangachara Upazila Health and family Planning Officer Dr Abu Mohammad Zakirul Islam presided over the meeting also attended by the upazila level government officials and employees and leaders and activists of Jatiya Party (JP).
Upazila Health Officer (Junior Consultant- Cardiology) Dr Md. Abu Zahid, Medical Officer Dr Md. Samsuzzaman, President of Gangachara upazila unit of JP Md. Shamsul Haque and its Vice-president Abul Kalam Azad also spoke.
Ranga said Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina has provided modern equipments, facilities and cost-free medicines to all Upazila Health Complexes throughout the country with a view to erase all problems for ensuring medicare and health service to the people.
“Because of massive steps taken by the government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the health service sector has marked significant improvement now,” he added.
He urged the physicians, officials, nurses and employees of the health department to work with utmost dedication and sincerity from own positions to ensure health services for all people at the district, upazila and union levels to take the nation a step forward.
