Physicians honoured for telemedicine services amid corona

The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) has honoured the physicians engaged in free telemedicine services during the global pandemic corona virus.
At the beginning of the corona virus pandemic, IEB launched a free telemedicine service with 63 doctors. Since then, IEB’s telemedicine services have been provided to 6,384 people, including engineers, across the country.
IEB on Tuesday evening honoured the physicians engaged in the IEB’s telemedicine services through online.
President of IEB and Secretary for Science and Technology of Bangladesh Awami League, Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur attended the program as chief guest while IEB’s Vice President Engineer Md. Nuruzzaman was present as special guest.
Engineer Kazi Khairul Basar, convener of the Telemedicine Services Steering Committee, presided over the function, which was conducted by Engineer Mohammad Ronak Ahsan, Member Secretary, IEB Telemedicine Services Steering Committee.
Speakers at the event said, IEB’s free telemedicine service has reached people across the country during the corona virus pandemic. Ordinary people including engineers have taken services from all over the country.
Engineers and doctors are working all the time in this critical period of the country.
