AKM Golam Mohiuddin said, mental peace and physical fitness is essential to earn knowledge and sports career.
He disclosed it while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of the annual sports competitions of students, teachers and the officials as arranged by the Students Affairs division of IIUC at its main campus in Kumira, Chittagong on Saturday as Chief Guest.
Pro-VC of the university Prof.Dr. Delwar Hossain presided over it duly attended by Female Zonal Chief Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman and Additional Registrar Md. Solaiman Miah as special guests.
Director of students affairs division AJM Obaidullah delivered address of welcome in it. Additional Director Chowdhury Golam Mowla conducted the programme as moderator.
The VC in his brief deliverations emphasized the need of sports culture among the students .
After ends of the different events, VC distributed prizes among the participants and the winners, sources said.
