The eminent photojournalist Mir Mohiuddin Sohan passed away at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital on Tuesday. He was 57.
He had been suffering from cardiac diseases for a long time.
Sohan is survived by his wife, a daughter and a large number of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death, said a press release.
The namaz-e-janaza of the journalist was held at the Jatiya Press Club at 11:30am. Leaders of various journalists’ bodies attended the janaza.
Besides, Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Abul Kalam Azad, President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Secretary General Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan, President of a BFUJ faction Shawkat Mahmud and Ruhul Amin Gazi, among others attended his Namaz-e-Janaza.
