Photographer Anwar found dead in hotel

Anwar Hossain, a Bangladeshi-born French citizen, who came to Dhaka for taking part in a photography competition as a judge, was found dead at a hotel in the city’s Panthapath on Saturday morning.
Being informed by the hotel authorities of Olio Dream Haven Hotel that Anwar was not responding from inside his room, police rushed there, said GG Biswas, Officer-in-Charge of Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station.
Later, police recovered the body of Anwar lying on the bed after breaking the door of room No. 809 around 11:00am.
Primarily no injury mark was found in his body, said the OC adding that the body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
General Manager of Olio Dream Haven Shohel Haider Khan, said, that Anwar Hossain is a Bangladeshi-born French citizen who hired a room of the hotel on November 28.
He came to Bangladesh to take part in a photography competition as judge, the General Manager said.
The hotel authorities called for police when the organisers came to pick him up and he did not respond, he added.
Police sent the body to Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
