Photo exhibition on Nepal earthquake begins at JU

A five- day photo exhibition on Nepal earthquake-2015 began at Jahir Raihan auditorium of Jahangirnagar University (JU) yesterday.
Arranged by JU Archaeology department, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Farzana Islam inaugurated the exhibition while Pro-VC Professor Dr. Abul Hossain addressed as special guest.
The guest teacher of JU Archaeology department Stephen T. Eckerd described the background of the pictures.
Mr. Stephen T. Eckerd said after having worst experience of tremor of high scale Nepal has initiated building earthquake tolerant houses.
The world communities have extended cooperation to Nepal’s quest for rehabilitation, he added.
The VC stressed awareness of the people about earthquake and prevention of damage caused by it.
Proctor Professor Dr. Tapan Kumer Shaha, Professor of Physics department Dr. AA Mamun, Professor of Archaeology department Dr. Asit Baran Pal and Assistant Professor of Archaeology department Zulkarnine were present at the exhibition inauguration among others.
