A Pharmacy owner was hacked to death by his former employee at Maijkhapon in Kishoreganj sadar on Saturday noon over business matter.
The victim was identified as Ziaur Rahman (45), son of Abdur Rashid at Ranagaon village under Pumdi union of Hossainpur upazila. He lived in Latibabad Dakshinpara area of Sadar upazila for a long time and used to run a pharmacy called Sumaiya Medical Hall at Gaital in Kishoreganj town. Police and local sources said Enamul is a former employee of Sumaiya Medical Hall While working there, he took lakhs of taka at different times. He was procrastinating to return the money. Ziaur and Enamul have had several quarrels over this.
At one stage, Ziaur fired Enamul. Enamul was furious. Enamul called Ziaur on a mobile phone in a secluded place in Maijakhapon area money owed. Ziaur was then hacked to death there. Later, the locals rescued Ziaur and took him to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital in critical condition.
