‘Pharmacies will remain open round-the-clock’

Pharmacies will remain open round-the-clock as the health ministry did not any instruction to keep the drug store closed after mid-night, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Thursday.
“Medicine shops will remain open . . . the city corporation did not talk to us about its decision regarding this issue. We will talk to them soon about it,” said the health minister while taking to journalists after a meeting at his secretariat office,” said Zahid Maleque.
Responding to a question, he said health service is emergency one. The minister does not rearrange timings for hospitals, he said, adding that only civil service offices will remain open from 8am to 3pm and hospitals will maintain their own timings, reports BSS.
Earlier, Dhaka South City Corporation in a notice said the drug stores in the capital will remain open till 12am starting from September 1 and the medicine shops near hospitals will be allowed to remain open till 2am.
