Former SP, Chandpur, Shamsunnahar was conferred on Ph D degree from DU . She did her Thesis under DU’s Pol Sc Department’s Professor Dr Tasnim Arefa Siddiqui under whose supervision she ( Shamsunnahar) completed her research and Thesis under the title ‘Reform of Human Resource Management System in Police administration in Bangladesh”.
Prior to it, she achieved her M Phil degree from DU in 2005 . Then her research work’s topic was ”Empowerment of Women through Participation in the Local Govt of Bangladesh”.
In addition, in 2007, she did MBA( Subject -Public Service International) from the University of Birmingham in UK where she studied after getting a Chevening Scholarship.
Now she is working as Human Resource Officer at Standing Police Capacity (SPC) under United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) in Italy.
It deserved mentioned , She led the Bangladesh’s National Police Parade twice in Dhaka.
She worked as the first lady SP in Chandpur and earned people’s maximum love and respect through which she endeared herself to commoners. She also worked with goodwill as SP in Gazipur.
Daughter of Valiant Freedom Fighter and now Chairman of Faridpur Zila Parishad, Adv Shamsul Huque Bhola Master, Shamsunnahar hails from Faridpur. She expressed her gratitude to Prof Tasnim Arefa Siddiqui of DU Pol Sc Dept. for achieving Ph D degree through her cell in Italy . She seeks blessings of all for her impressive success in the days ahead.
