Ph.D has been awarded to reputed journalist, senior reporter of the Daily Ittefaq, Syed Abdul Wazed by The University of Chittagong.
His Ph.D research topic was `A chronological and evolutionary study on the illustration of Bangladesh of the Periodical Newspaper, Book Cover, Magazine and other publications’.
The 505th Syndicate meeting of the University, held on 20th October, 2016 has approved the award.
The research was completed under the supervision of renowned scholar in heritage and ethno-archaeological findings, Professor of the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Chittagong, Dr. Shahariar Talukder.
Syed Abdul Wazed is youngest son of eminent educationist and former Headmaster of Comilla Zilla School, the late Syed Abdus Samad and Nurunnahar Begum.
President of Chittagong Press Club Kalim Sarwar, secretary Mohsin Chowdhury, CUJ President Riaz Hyder, Secretary Mohammad Ali and other journalists have congratulated Syed Abdul Wazed on his achievement.
