Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine will be arrive in Bangladesh today.
The vaccine consignments are coming to Bangladesh under the Covax facility run by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed it on Sunday after corrected the date line three times. The DGHS said that the country is set to receive a consignment of 100,620 doses of the Pfizer vaccine on Monday.

The Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) approved the Pfizer vaccine for emergency use in Bangladesh on Thursday.
Earlier, an evaluation panel recommended its emergency use on May 25.
Besides, the DGHS yet to decide the price of Russia produced covid-19 vaccine Sputnik-v.
“We had sent a letter to Russian officials. They also had replied with some queries. We have scrutinizing and discussing the matters they sent. We have yet to decide the price of the vaccine,” said, Professor De. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
He said it on Sunday in the secretariat in the capital after a discussion meeting.
He said that they will send reply to Russia this week after fixing price of the vaccine.
The latest developments of covid-19 vaccines come at a time when the country is on combat the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic amid a supply shortage of vaccines.
It has struggling with supply deficit of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, which was supposed to be delivered by neighboring India.
Professor ABM Khurshid Alam earlier said that the residents of Dhaka, waiting for their first Covid-19 vaccine dose after signing up on the national vaccine registration platform Surokkha, would get the Pfizer shots after arriving of its first consignment.
