The decision was communicated to Tripura Road Transport Corporation [TRTC], which said the continuous violence forced them to suspend the service.Shyamali was operating a bus from Dhaka to Agartala thrice a week after the TRTC suspended its service on the route in January this year for security reasons. In September 2012, TRTC’s Dhaka-bound passenger bus, Maitree, was burnt by a mob when it met with an accident in the Narsindi area ahead of Dhaka. Though the service was resumed after a few months, the TRTC scaled down its service and finally suspended the operation in January for an indefinite period.
