Petrobangla has approved six weeks leave to the Project Director of Maddhapara Hardrock Mining
Aurangazeb for performing this year’s Hajj.
He is one of the four former Managing Directors of Barapukuria Coal Mine who were accused of Barapukuria coal scam, and listed for travel ban with a number of others.
An initial probe carried out by the Petrobangla found their involvement in the coal scam.
Aurangazeb’s leave was granted a day after Petrobagla submitted its probe report on disappearance of 1,45,000 tonnes of coal from a Barapukuria coal mine, sources said.
