Shahjada Mahamud Chowdhury has been elected as Chairman and Jafar Ahmed Patwari as Vice Chairman of Peoples Insurance Company Limited in the Board of Directors meeting recently.
Shahjada, son of Ex. Minister Mahmudun Nabi Chowdhury, born in a very respectable and well known Muslim family of Chittagong. He has graduated in Commerce and then obtains professional degree in Law. He is the Chairman of Progati Shipping (BD) Ltd. He is the Managing Director of M.N.C. Packages Ltd. and Alpha Securities Ltd.
Shahjada Mahamud Chowdhury is also the director of Meher Marketing Ltd. He is the Adviser and Ex. First Vice President of BGAPMEA.
On the other hand, Jafar Ahmed Patwari has been elected as Vice Chairman of the company in the Board of Directors meeting held on 30th May, 2017.
Jafar Ahmed Patwari, son of Late Md. Nurul Islam Patwari, Ex. Chairman of Peoples Insurance Company Ltd. He has completed his graduation in the year 1995 and went abroad for higher study. He, then completed Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from City of London College, London, U.K. Jafar Ahmed Patwari is the Managing Director of the Sonali Aansh Trading (Pvt.) Ltd., Alijan Jute Mills Ltd. Blue Marine Resorts (Pvt.) Ltd., Saint Martin. He is also the Deputy Managing Director of the Veloxo Trading Limited.
