Awami League Presidium Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim on Sunday said people will not accept those who resort to falsehood to get support from foreigners.
“People won’t accept those who are spreading falsehood to the foreigners about country’s internal affairs,” he told a joint meeting of sub-committee on reception, volunteers, stage decoration and food for the upcoming 20th National Council of Awami League at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.
He said, “We have few challenges before us. One is to forge unity against the frequent conspiracy and anarchy of the BNP-Jamaat alliance which is busy with tarnishing the image of the country.”
Criticizing the role of BNP, Nasim said it was really unfortunate that the BNP leader spoke ill of others with the Chinese leadership while people showed their due respect to the visiting Chinese President.
Nasim, also the convener of the Awami League Council Entertainment Sub-Committee, said invitation letters were sent to 14 countries and the leaders of most of those countries would attend the council.
