State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid urged the people to mandate the ruling Awami League (AL) in the upcoming polls.
He said that the development plan worth of Taka 2,000 crore is being implemented in the Keraniganj district.
“Most of those development plan is going on …the people should elect the incumbent party in power again for accelerating those development plans, ” the State Minister said this on Friday while addressing in a tri-annual conference of the Union Chhatra League at Aganagar in Kerniganj.
The development plan includes beautification and protection of banks of the ‘Subhaddhya’ canal, implementation of 8-lanes on Dhaka-Mawa highway, development of 4-lane highways between Zinjira to Jony Tower and extension of roads and highways from Syedpur to Dohar in Nobabganj with an amount of Taka 600 crore.
Nasrul told that “we are doing good jobs for the people, adding that the roads and highways of Keraniganj have been developed along with electrification.”
The government has a plan to install the power transmission lines underground in the district, the State Minister mentioned. Leaders of the associate organisations of ruling Awami League were present at the function.
