Kiara Advani made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with Fugly, but she got noticed only in 2016, after she starred in cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. She played the role of Dhoni’s wife Sakshi in the film, and her acting was appreciated. Though her last film, Machine, bombed at the box office, Kiara has no regrets and says that she has learnt a lot from her films. “My journey has been very special. I am grateful for all that I have learnt so far. I’m lucky that directors, whose films I’ve grown up watching, are now working with me. With every film,?I am trying to push my limits.?I am so happy with the way my career is shaping up,” says Kiara.
Kiara says that although she puts her best efforts in every film, she doesn’t feel bad if it doesn’t do well commercially. “Of course, you want every film to do well and you give every project your 100 per cent. But you can never guess the outcome of your film. My last film (Machine) did not do well, but the film is still close to my heart. I have learnt so much from that film,” says the 24-year-old.
In fact, Kiara is grateful to the film as many people remember her from the film’s song Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast, a recreation of the popular track from Mohra (1994). “People still refer to me as the Mast Mast girl and that always puts a smile on my face. For the first couple of weeks, you are attached to the film, so you feel that may be you could have done a better job. But then you learn how to detach eventually,” adds Kiara.
