After several days of heat wave, the dwellers of Dhaka heaved a sigh of relief on Sunday evening as a nor’wester swept across the capital city along with a bout of rain and thunderstorm cooling down the temperature.
The city traffic, however, faced problem due to fall of trees on different streets blocking movement of vehicles.
Met office in its bulletin on Monday evening said rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Khulna & Barisal divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur & Rajshahi divisions.
The mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna, Mongla, Satkhira & Jessore and it may continue.
