People continue to rush at fever clinic of BSMMU

Hundreds of people suffering from fever, cold, cough and respiratory problems are in serious panic.
On Tuesday, a huge number of patients visited the city’s Fever Clinic at ex. Bangladesh Betar Bhaban , Shahbagh.
It was seen that in the morning that children, old men, doctor and members of law enforcers crowded for getting the treatment.
But after one hour of the service at Fever Clinic, an announcement was made that they won’t take more patients on account of insufficient equipment.  
BSMMU Professor Saifullah Munshi said, “We are really sorry for limitation. We suggest the government to enhance such type of clinic in order to reduce the pressure on hospitals.
The Fever Clinic was set up on the ground floor of Ex- Bangladesh Betar Bhaban in city’s Shahbagh on March 21.
Earlier, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University decided to keep the newly opened Fever Clinic opened throughout the week except Friday as many fever patients are being denied treatment in city hospitals fearing possible infections with COVID-19.
