A pedestrian was killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Boro Kumira area under Sitakunda upazila of the district early Saturday.
The victim was identified as Wahab Ali, 50,who hailed from Chamta village under Noriya upazila of Shariatpur district. Nayek Shilabrata Barua of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost said Wahab was critically injured after a speedy lorry knocked him at the area around 12-30am.
