A 3-day long Pear Review programMEs ended at Southern University in the port city yesterday. Institutional Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC) , Pharmacy Deptt of Southern University organised the Pear Review programs. The members of Pear Review committee including foreign specialists are Dr. SJMNG Samarakoon of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, Dr. Mir Mosharraf Hossain , professor of Fisheries and Bio-science of Jessore Science & Technology University , Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Head of Pharmacy Deptt of Dhaka University.
The PR members exchanged views with the VC Dr.Md. Nurul Mostafa, Founder Professor Sarwar Jahan, Director of IQAC Prof. AJM Nuruddin chowdhury, Head of Pharmacy Deptt Prof. Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Deans and Departmental heads at campus. During the 3-days program, discussions among members of SA committee, present students, Alumni, officers, employees and non-academic staffs including presentation of SA report before the review was held .
With the financial assistance of World Bank duly patronised by University Grants commission, a number of academic activities are being conducted under Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) Institutional Quality Assurance aimed at increasing quality of education . The participating PR members hailed the academic activities of the Southern University and extended their advices on different issues, a SU sources said.
